Importing TPS 2000 data using ThirdPartySync

To import TPS 2000 data:

  1. Any questions, please call 800.481.9060 and select customer service or contact support@softwaremotif.com.  This is an easy import if you set it up initially.
  2. Setup the ODBC data driver for EON TPS 2000.  Go to Start->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management->ODBC Data Sources.  You will see the ODBC data source administrator in Figure 1 below.
  3. Click Add, and then choose the Microsoft Visual FoxPro driver, and name the data source TPS 2000 as indicated in Figure 2 below.
  4. Choose the Visual FoxPro database (.DBC) option as indicated in Figure 2.
  5. Set the path to the EON.DBC file on your computer network as indicated in Figure 2.
  6. Save all changes.  The data will be viewed on a read-only basis.
  7. Proceed with ThirdPartySync, from Start->All Programs->Software Motif->ThirdPartySync as indicated in Figure 3.
  8. Choose "EON TPS 2000 (ODBC; DSN=TPS 2000)" in the dropdown box.
  9. Choose the destination location of your MyEMR for Windows installation.  The factory default location is:
    C:\Program Files\Chirosoft\Data\Main\cs_pub.mdb.
  10. You can enter a default provider CatalogID or leave the default provider blank.
  11. Press "Import".
  12. You will get a message indicating "Import Complete!" or warnings to skip some exception patients without last name values.
  13. After proper setup of ThirdPartySync, you can regularly repeat running this program to maintain the same patients in MyEMR as in EON TPS 2000.

Your patients are now in the MyEMR database and available to synchronize to your Pocket PC.

This data import is designed to run recursively, so as you add new patients in Chiro7000/8000 you can run ThirdPartySync and continue to import new patients while updating any changes to the patient's address, telephone, etc.
