Importing Chiro7000 and Chiro8000 data using ThirdPartySync

To import Chiro7000 or Chiro8000 data:

  1. Choose "Chiro 7000 data folder" in the dropdown box.
  2. Browse using the "..." button to set the root directory of your Chiro7000/8000 data.  For some installations, the root folder is "C:\" while other installations may be "C:\MBANET".  (You will know what your root folder is because it will contain folders such as "A", "B", "C", ... "Z", "AA", "AB", etc.  Do not choose a folder such as "C:\A" because this is one level too "deep".)  Any questions, please call 800.481.9060 and select customer service or contact support@softwaremotif.com.  This is an easy import if you set it up initially.
  3. Choose the destination location of your MyEMR for Windows installation.  The factory default location is:
    C:\Program Files\Chirosoft\Data\Main\cs_pub.mdb.
  4. You can leave the default provider blank for the Chiro7000/8000 import.
  5. Press "Import".
  6. You will get a message indicating "Import Complete!".

Your patients are now in the MyEMR database and available to synchronize to your Pocket PC.

This data import is designed to run recursively, so as you add new patients in Chiro7000/8000 you can run ThirdPartySync and continue to import new patients while updating any changes to the patient's address, telephone, etc.
