ODBC driver settings for Eclipse data and ThirdPartySync
To define an ODBC driver setup with Windows XP, goto Start->Control
Panel->Administrative Tools->Data Sources and add an ODBC User DSN as
illustrated below. Other Windows operating systems have similar areas
for defining ODBC data sources.

- Click "Add" to for your new ODBC (open database connectivity)
setting.

- Choose the Faircom 32 bit ODBC driver.
- The data source name must be "ECLIPSE" for the purposes of
ThirdPartySync.
- The script name must be eclipse.db
- The data dictionary path will be the location of your Eclipse data
folder which also contains the eclipse.db data dictionary.
- Do not check allow updates. ThirdPartySync accesses the
data in a read-only mode.

To open ThirdPartySync, choose: Start->Programs-> Software Motif->
ThirdPartySync
from the Windows Start menu.
- For the import source format, choose "Eclipse ODBC".
- For the destination, choose the factory default database location as
indicated in the figure to the right. If the data is elsewhere on
your network, this could be a fully qualified network path, such as:
\\SERVER\Data\cs_pub.mdb |
